Chicago man missing after trip to Washington D.C.

U.S. Park Police in Washington D.C. are asking for the public's help to locate a missing Chicago man.

35-year-old Sarath Kumar Potharaju is a software consultant from Chicago who was in Washington D.C. on business. He was touring the Martin Luther King Jr. and FDR memorials after lunch on Sunday when he vanished around 4:30 p.m. that afternoon.

U.S. Park police released a video that shows Sarath sightseeing with his cousin and his wife and child. They split briefly after the video was shot.

Potharaju is married with two kids. He was wearing a dark colored windbreaker, long white t-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. According to family and friends, he was not depressed or having any financial issues.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
