ATLANTA (AP) - The U.S. Marshals have arrested eight men suspected of gang activity in the Atlanta area.
U.S. Marshals spokesman Gavin Duffy says a coalition of local and federal law enforcement agencies worked together to arrest the eight men who are alleged members of a gang called the Pittsburgh Jack Boys. They've been charged with aggravated battery, criminal gang participation, weapons violations and possession and intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine.
Duffy says one arrest location was secured by fortified doors and windows, and was outfitted with a surveillance system to protect their drug operation.
The fugitive task force has arrested more than 20,000 violent fugitives in the state of Georgia since 2003.
