Danny Koker from 'Counting Cars' talks with Jason Carr about the show and Koker's love for Detroit city.

"Counting Cars is really all about the workings of my business, Count's Kustoms, and really how the business functions, how the vehicles come to me," said Danny Koker.

"Sometimes they come to me from an existing customer that owns a vehicle and they want it made over. Sometimes I go out and I search and I find them and end up purchasing for the shop with the intentions of building them up and selling them for profit to keep the business running. And then there's those times where I feed my personal addiction, where I end up falling in love with vehicles that I'm supposed to sell and I end up keeping them which becomes an internal conflict in the company between the creative side and the business side of the business."

'Counting Cars' features the before and after of vehicles as well as a little bit of the process of what happens to them. As Koker describes them, his "insane" staff gets to show off all their hard work together to get vehicles from point A to point B. The show includes muscle cars, motorcycles, big Cadillacs and a whole lot more. Viewers can expect to see vehicles from almost every manufacturer. Koker says he likes manufacturers for particular reasons and appreciates every kind of vehicle out there. The show's primary vehicles that everyone loves are solid, Detroit iron muscle cars. "Ninety percent of it, I would say, is American muscle, straight from Detroit city baby," said Koker.

The show premieres Tuesday April 9 at 9 p.m. on the History channel.
