The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is looking to protect animals from the sky as it seeks to buy one or more drones to find hunters who "gun down deer and doves," according to a report on USnews.com.

According to the report, the group says it will not arm the drones, but use them to film "potentially illegal hunting activity" and give that film to authorities.

The group would have to seek FAA approval to be able to fly the drones, says the report. It is reportedly trying to buy a CineStar Octocopter.

Do you think PETA should be allowed to use the drones? Post your comments on our FOX 5 Atlanta Facebook page, or tweet us @GoodDayAtlanta.
