'American Idol Live' returns to Joe Louis Arena in July

DETROIT (WJBK) -

This summer 'American Idol Live' will showcase the season's talented top finalists during the tour which consists of 40 concerts in various cities and states. The tour will be in Detroit at Joe Louis Arena on Friday, July 5. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased beginning May 3 at 10 a.m. on OlympiaEntertainment.com, The Fox Theatre, Joe Louis Arena box offices and Hockeytown Authentics in Troy.

In support of the Melanoma Research Alliance, $1 from every ticket will be donated to help find a cure for melanoma.

The tour includes season 12 Idol finalists Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Burnell Taylor, Candice Glover, Curtis Finch Jr, Devin Velez, Janelle Arthur, Kree Harrison, Lazaro Arbos, Paul Jolley and Aubrey Cleland. The show includes favorite moments from the season and never before seen performances.
