Michael Rooker at Motor City Nightmares this weekend

NOVI, Mich. (WJBK) -

The Horror Expo & Film Festival kicks off today in Novi and runs through Sunday, April 28. Guests include Michael Rooker ('The Walking Dead'), James Russo ('Django Unchained'), Heather Langenkamp, Doug Bradley, Amanda Wyss and more.

Gary Jones will screen his new film 'The Axe Giant', previously called 'Bunyan' which is premiering this summer. Musical performances by First Jason, Kill Whitey, The Gutter Ghouls and more will also be part of the event.  

The festival is open Friday from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
