A suspect was arrested for robbing and burglarizing two homes and a vehicle in Mesa on Thursday.

Police say a woman caught 24-year-old Joseph Patrick Larocca trying to steal a laptop from her home near Dobson and Guadalupe Roads.

The woman tried to grab Larocca, but he allegedly pushed her to the ground and got away with her laptop.

Shortly afterward, police say a victim caught Larocca inside their car near Extension and Guadalupe Roads.

The victim and their friends pulled Larocca out of their car and tried to pin him to the ground, but during the struggle, they noticed a large amount of blood on him and let him go.

The victims wrote down Larocca's license plate number and officers found out the vehicle was registered to his father.

Next, police say Larocca went to a home near Guadalupe and Alma School Roads and stole two saws from a garage and several school books, pink iPod and earmuffs from a vehicle parked in the driveway.

The homeowner told police he heard someone in his garage, but when he went to confront him, he slid underneath the garage and fled.

Police units were given Larocca's license plate number and he was eventually spotted near Dobson and Broadway Roads.

Larocca was taken into custody and police say all of the stolen items were found in the vehicle he was driving.

According to documents, Larocca told police he let his friend borrow his vehicle and believe he had stolen some items he found in the backseat.

All robbery/burglary victims identified Larocca as the person who committed the crimes.

Larocca was arrested on charges of robbery, second degree burglary, third degree burglary and attempted third degree burglary.
