U.S. Senator John McCain held a town meeting in Goodyear Monday afternoon to speak about issues affecting people across Arizona.
People were given a chance to voice their opinions and concerns -- one of those issues being immigration.
McCain says the meeting was a good thing, and people around the state are passionate about what's going on around them, especially on the topic of immigration.
"It's my job to listen to them and to respond to them and try to inform them, that's what it's all about. I've been doing it for 30 years so to think that it's anything different then people don't know anything about town hall meetings," said McCain.
Along with immigration, one of the hot topics discussed was what to do about gun violence.
