STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WJBK) -

There is a new opportunity for hands-on job training for anyone interested in a career as an auto technician.

Collex Collision Experts is celebrating the grand opening of a unique training facility.  It is the first of its kind created and operated by an independent collision repair center.

The 9,000 square foot facility is located in Sterling Heights.  Students will get hands-on mentoring working side-by-side with experienced professionals.

Collex will also partner with other leading industry educators from Sherwin-Williams and 3M.
