Drew and Mike? Drew and Mike?
FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) -

FOX 2 has confirmed that 101-WRIF Radio morning show hosts "Drew and Mike" will be replaced by Dave and Chuck of the Freak, the former 89X duo.

The last 'Drew and Mike" broadcast is scheduled for May 17. Their contract was not renewed.

Drew Lane and Mike Clark have been on the air together at WRIF since 1994. Lane left the show in 2007 and returned in 2009.  Clark was off the air for several weeks at the beginning of this year. The show was regularly the top rated show in the competitive morning drive time slot.

Fox 2's Charlie LeDuff caught the duo in the parking lot of WRIF studios, or at least someone looking a lot like them, holding newspapers in over their heads in an exclusive interview.  Play three videos in the player.   1. For Charlie's story.  2. For raw video of the interview with Drew and Mike.  3.  For video of a recording from Wednesday morning's 'Drew and Mike' show as the pair watched news of their show's demise cross web sites in Detroit.

What's your reaction to this news?  Will Drew and Mike end up on another radio station?  Are you a fan of Dave and Chuck the Freak?  Add your comments below and we may use them on the air during a Fox 2 Newscast.
