Clayton County police capture escaped inmate

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -

Police in Clayton County say an escaped inmate who walked off from the jail on Friday has been captured.

Police say trustee Varisto Ramovez-Avalos walked away from the facility while on a work detail at around 6:30 a.m. Avalos was in jail for giving a false name and reckless conduct.

According to police, they established a perimeter in the area of the Justice Complex Center in Clayton County. K-9 units were used to track Avalos, and the found him about an hour later behind Tallman Pools.
