DETROIT (WJBK) -

"Just hanging out in front asking people for money like she usually does," said Greg McNeal, who works security for the Majestic Theatre.

This time it was from a woman who was in town from New York. We're told she tried to help a homeless woman, but her good deed ended up costing her.

We're told she was leaving the Majestic Theatre Monday night on Woodward near Willis, and when she offered the woman some money, a man came up behind her and struck her in the head.

McNeal talked to police, but didn't see the attack.

"It's unfortunate. I don't like that. I take that personally," McNeal said. "Single young ladies who are not from the area got to be a little careful because people are going to ask you for money, and they're going to size you up, too."

The suspect victimized this woman in more ways than one. Sources told me he was armed with a knife. He used it to kidnap her and carjack her rented silver Nissan Sentra. First he drove her down the street to a Bank of America at MLK and Woodward and forced her to withdraw $300. He ordered his victim to then strip down, locking her down with the seat belt until he drove her to another location and forced her to perform oral sex.

When it was over, the victim used that moment to escape. Completely naked, she ran for help and then called Detroit police from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at Woodward and Hancock.

It's not clear when, but the suspect eventually ditched her car rental between an abandoned church and house near Joseph Campau and Hale. Police caught up to the silver Nissan on Tuesday. A tracking dog was called in to try and trace the suspect, but had no luck.

So far, the suspect's description is vague.

"Stocking cap and he said tight, skinny jeans," McNeal said. "It didn't sound like anyone I would recognize right off."

That is the description that the security man got from police, but we really haven't received one at this point.

Police were able to get a surveillance image from the ATM at the Bank of America, but they have not yet released it.

Meanwhile, we're told the woman will be physically okay.
