NEW YORK (AP) - An indictment has been thrown out in the case against an NYPD police officer charged last year in the fatal shooting of an unarmed suspect in a Bronx home.

A judge found on Wednesday that prosecutors gave flawed instructions to a grand jury that indicted Officer Richard Haste.

The case isn't over because prosecutors were expected to present the case again to the grand jury.

The shooting of Ramarley Graham, 18, stemmed from an NYPD investigation of street-corner drug dealing. Police pursued Graham into his home before he was shot once at close range.

New York City is exploring ways to curb the speed of taxis. The Taxi and Limousine Commission this week issued a request for information on "anti speeding vehicle technologies."  The measures include devices that can intervene when drivers exceed posted speeds and "advisory systems" that can sound alarms when reckless driving is detected.
