DECATUR, Ga. -

Five people made a quick escape from a MARTA bus just before it was hit by a train Wednesday morning.  Fire crews say the bus stalled on the railroad tracks in downtown Decatur, and those onboard had just seconds to get out before an oncoming train hit it.

Decatur fire crews say the MARTA bus was on it's normal route around 6:20 a.m., but it stalled out as it crossed the railroad tracks on McDonough Street downtown.  The bus driver and four passengers onboard saw a train coming for them, and were able to jump off the bus safely just before the train hit it.

Two workers who were aboard the train were not injured.

There's no word yet on what caused the MARTA bus to stall.
