Crystal Bowersox: It Is A Fine Juggling Act

Posted: Updated:

Crystal Bowersox has been keeping busy since her days on American Idol. She's got a new CD (All That For This) out this week, she's selling out shows nationwide, and gearing up for a stint on Broadway to play music legend Pasty Cline.

Crystal talked to Steve and Maria about the pressure of playing a legend as well known as Patsy Cline and how inspirational Cline's story is even to this day. Crystal also talked about living in Portland, Oregon and said the show Portlandia is "all true". She also talked about the "Los Lobos" connection with her latest album. After Steve "made her nervous" about Tuesday night's show at the Troubadour, Crystal brought the house down with a live performance of "Everything Falls Into Place".

Fun facts about Crystal:

  • She was a runner-up on the ninth season of American Idol. She was the first female finalist in three years.
  • Bowersox's debut album, Farmer's Daughter, was released on December 14, 2010 by Jive Records.
  • Bowersox auditioned for American Idol in Chicago, Illinois. She sang "Piece of My Heart." Guest judge Shania Twain commented that she had a "raw, natural talent."
