Storms topple trees, dampen roadways

METRO ATLANTA -

Wet weather caused numerous problems across metro Atlanta on Monday.

Trees toppled onto roadways in several spot. In DeKalb County, fallen trees blocked several lanes of Interstate 285 near Bouldercrest Drive.

In Douglas County, traffic was stalled as workers cleared branches and debris from Interstate 20. Slick roads were to blame for a collision in Douglasville.

Cobb County saw torrential rain and strong winds at times.

Danny Brown from Servpro of Decatur said his crews had seen a lot of flooded basements after gutters overflowed.
