PHOENIX -

Police are investigating a double shooting at a home near 67th Avenue and Thomas that left one man dead.

Authorities say at approximately 12:30 a.m. Monday, a man and woman rode their bicycles to the area of 7100 W. Earll Drive.

"They got into some type of an altercation with another man and woman in a blue Chevrolet Impala and the man got out of the car and shot the two individuals," stated Sgt. Tommy Thompson.

After receiving a call about shots fired, officers arrived at the scene to find a 25-year-old man and 41-year-old woman with gun shot wounds.

The victims were both taken to an area hospital, but the man later died from his injuries.  The woman remains in stable condition and is expected to survive.

Police say they're on the lookout for two suspects.

According to authorities, a witness told investigators that they saw a man and a woman leave the scene in 4-door blue Chevrolet Impala.

"Approximately 20 - 30-year-old large Hispanic male with sleeve tattoos up and down both arms.  And then a white female, heavy set as well, approximately in her 30s," said Phoenix Police Lt. Brian Riggan.

The victims' names have not been released.
