The Headband That Everyone Will Be Talking About...Until Game 7

Posted: Updated:
Los Angeles, CA -

It was trending on twitter shortly after LeBron James lost his headband in the fourth quarter of Game 6 of the NBA finals.  Dozens of Twitter accounts popped up such as:  @lebronsheadband

...with a headline: "I cover the most prolific receding hairline in the NBA." The King's Forehead

And the laugh fest was on, along with the rally.   LeBron and the Heat rallied to take the lead after many sports writers and fans had given the championship trophy to the Spurs.  Heat fans had begun to leave the building.  After the game, in his post-game press conference, LeBron said he was just trying to figure out how to get his team back in the game, "the headband was the least of my worries."  LeBron called the Heat's come back and overtime win, the "best game I've ever been a part of. "

Heat players watched the yellow tape go up around the court, in preparation for the Championship trophy presentation, which was about to go to the Spurs, but the yellow tape was apparently too much to handle.  It motivated the Heat  and made them angry, they weren't about to watching the crowning of the Spurs in their house.

Now questions about the headband will continue until the deciding Game 7 on Thursday.  Should he wear it or not?
