Posted: Updated:

A Philadelphia boxing legend has added another award to his collection.

Bernard Hopkins accepted the 2013 John Wannamaker Athletic Award on Thursday.

The award honors his achievements to Philadelphia and the sport of boxing.

In 2011, at 46, Hopkins became the oldest boxer to win a World Championship.

At 48 years old, Hopkins is scheduled to face his next challenger in the ring, Sergay Kovalev.

Hopkins joins the ranks of previous wannamaker award winners--Julius Erving, Mike Schmidt, and Roy Halladay.
