The money goes to arts programs in public schools.

The Urban Arts Partnership puts on The 24 Hours Plays, which take place Friday and Saturday nights at the Broad Stage, 1310 11th Street, in Santa Monica.

The group's artistic chair, Oscar Nominee Rosie Perez, stopped by Studio 11 to talk about the plays.
