Former NBA great Scottie Pippen turned himself into police in Malibu to answer questions about a fight, according to TMZ.com.

Police questioned Pippen but decided against arresting him. Cops continue to investigate.

Pippen allegedly beat up a man seeking an autograph outside a restaurant on Sunday night. He  allegedly punched the man in the face and kicked him, knocking him out, TMZ reported.

The man was hospitalized.

Pippen was part of the Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan when the team won six NBA titles.

He also played for the Houston Rockets and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Pippen was inducted into the National Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.

TMZ originally reported that Pippen was arrested, but later updated that he was questioned and let go.

With the All-Star break over and the second half of the MLB season well underway, the New York Mets (46-52 as of July 20) and the New York Yankees (50-47 as of July 20) find themselves in the same situations each team is accustomed to at this time of the season. The Yankees are in the middle of the AL East Division title while the Mets are scrapping for every win possible to stay relevant in the NL East. But while the record says one thing, reality says another.

Maybe it's a thrilling chase on the base-paths or crack of a bat on a hot summer day. No matter why they love this game, for this collection of 11- and 12-year-old baseball players in Mount Vernon, N.Y., all the hard work on and off the field is paying off. These kids and their coaches will be playing a tournament during All-Star festivities in Minnesota as part of Major League Baseball's effort to revive baseball in inner cities.
