"Getting that call, that your child has been sexually assaulted, I can't describe it…" those tearful word from the mother of a 13-year-old special needs student at Barack Obama Global Preparation in South Los Angeles, claiming that is exactly what happened to her family.
Family attorney Brian Claypool represents the family of the seventh grader allegedly raped by a classmate during a physical education class. According to Claypool, the Los Angeles Police Department was called after classmates reported the incident to an after-school counselor. The teen, who has the mental capacity of a five-year-old, managed to explain to his classmates what had happened to him, despite "difficulty verbalizing feelings", reports Claypool.
The boy's mother adds that she had gone to the school two months prior to the assault to ask that her son be removed from the P.E. class because he was being harassed by some kids. He wasn't reassigned. The supposed molester is barely 14 years old. Again, according to Claypool, the accused attacker left his own class, went to the victim's P.E. class, took him behind some bleachers and proceeded to assault him.
