PNC: It's never too late to start saving -- and, here's how!

Posted: Updated:

A recent report found that 22 percent of Americans have less than $10 in savings to cover the potential high costs often posed by emergencies. If you live paycheck to paycheck, then how do you begin even begin to set aside money to save?

Today, PNC investment advisor Justin Sullivan stopped by Good Day Atlanta to share his industry smarts and prove it's never too late for you to start saving.

The idea of saving for a rainy day might be drying up. According to a new survey, one in five (22%) Americans have less than $100 stashed away to cover emergency expenses.  While nearly half (46%) report having less than $800.

The silver lining: Millennials -- the 80 million young people born between 1980 and 2000 and known to be facing high unemployment and debt -- might finally be giving their parents a break. Only 37% of those under age 30 said they'd ask their family for help; that's down from 54% in the previous year.
