Third suspect arrested in fatal jewelry store robbery

Authorities announced Saturday have arrested a third man in connection to the shooting death of a Villa Rica jewelry store owner this past week.

The news of the arrest comes on the day 50-year-old Mitch Mobley was laid to rest and was remembered by residents.

Villa Rica Police say Gregory Clifton, 20, of Atlanta, was tracked down late Friday night. He was taken to the Carroll County Jail where he was booked on murder and armed robbery charges.

According to Fulton County Jail records, Clifton has prior arrest of battery and robbery by force.

He joins two others already in jail on charges they robbed and killed the owner of the popular Mobley Jewelry Company.

Eric Billings, 16, of College Park, and Raphael Rucker, 23, of Atlanta are currently in custody on similar charges. According to records obtained by FOX 5, Rucker has an extensive arrest record in Fulton County. He repeated made obscene gestures at FOX 5 cameras while making his first appearance on Friday.

Officials say they are closing in on the remaining two suspects and hope to make arrest very soon.
