Fire at Fulton County Stadium remembered 20 years later

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

It was 20 years ago when fire broke out at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium moments before the start of a Braves game and, as the story goes, sparked a legendary playoff run.

The blaze began in the press box on the same day that Fred McGriff joined the team.

At the time, the Braves trailed the San Francisco Giants in the National League West by 9.5 games.

FOX 5 Sports' Ken Rodriguez has the story!
