Enjoy Zip Line Thrills, Right Here In Venice Beach

Posted: Updated:
Venice, CA -

(FOX 11) It's been 2 years in the making, but finally, zip lining is a reality in Venice Beach. Tuesday July 23rd Flightlinez held its grand opening to the public, offering rides for 20 dollars, 18 dollars with California ID. Flying 750 feet, 5 stories high, and with an ocean view... it's like soaring through paradise.

Venice Beach is an artsy town, so Flightlinez will also be showcasing local talent. Over a dozen area artists will be completing their artwork on site for the community to enjoy. This artwork will then surround the zip line towers. A portion of the ride proceeds will also go to the city to help keep Venice Beach clean.

Flight restrictions: must weigh between 60 and 250 pounds. Flightlinez Venice Beach is open daily from 11a.m. to sunset.

I had the chance to demo Samsung's Gear VR recently. It's a virtual reality headset powered by a smartphone. Don't let that fool you though. It's impressive!
