Internet buzz for 'Cubicle guy' from Anthony Weiner press conference

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

It seems as though all photographic evidence of Anthony Weiner goes viral, but this time the Mayoral candidate had little to do with the internet buzz.

WOR reporter, Jeff McKinney, now more widely known as 'Cubicle Guy', became an instant hit just by arriving a few minutes late to Weiner's press conference. In the short span of the the ten-minute press conference, 'cubicle guy' became trending.

McKinney said to Adam Carter, a colleague of his former station WCCO radio, he received text messages during the conference about his cameo appearance, but he didn't know he'd gone viral until Carter told him. McKinney can be spotted waving to Carter

"Cubicle guy had no idea that he was cubicle guy. Cubicle Guy was just there. He was taking notes. He was standing behind Anthony Weiner, because that was the only available spot to him. Because Cubicle Guy was late getting to the news conference — not, as it turned out, as late as Anthony Weiner. ... That was the only place I could stand," McKinney said.

DENVER - Technically, it's still summer for a few more days but it's snowing already in Colorado! The Denver area saw a dusting Wednesday and could get a bit more snow as a cold front moves through. Fortunately for residents there, this is just temporary and they'll enjoying 70 degree days again soon.
