Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he threatened to kill HLN anchors Nancy Grace and Jane Velez-Mitchell while they were in town covering the Arias trial because he didn't like what they were saying about Arias. He claims to be in love with Jodi Arias.

We are learning more disturbing details about David Simpson's obsession.

We now know that when this guy was arrested in New York State he was headed to Atlanta and his plan was to kill Nancy Grace.

He was arrested before he could do anything and according to these detailed court records, he's very open about his obsession with Jodi Arias.

By the time David Lee Simpson arrived in Arizona, investigators had already built a strong case against him. They were able to access his various Twitter accounts and found numerous threats against anchors Nancy Grace and Jane Velez-Mitchell.

Via Twitter he told Grace he wanted to strap her to a tree. He Told Velez-Mitchell he'd be waiting for her and Nancy Grace.

He even said he was going to "slit Nancy Grace's throat."

Simpson didn't say much to us when he arrived at Sky Harbor Wednesday night, but he told investigators that he also made a few pipe bombs.

The threat first came to light back in June during the Jodi Arias murder trial. Simpson tweeted under various handles all referencing his love for Jodi.

When the sheriff's office became aware of the threats they eventually talked to Simpson in his hometown of Bath, New York. But that didn't stop him. After the deputies left, he tweeted to the anchors again.

Saying "I'm ready for you and Nancy" and "can't wait to see you in Arizona."

Soon after he sent those tweets a co-worker of Simpson's called local police and told them Simpson was leaving town and "…had a loaded handgun and stated he was going to kill Nancy Grace."

When he was pulled over, Simpson had a load of weapons in his car.

According to the sheriff's office, he admitted he was on his way to Georgia to kill Nancy Grace.

Simpson has been charged with stalking and computer tampering. The victims are the two anchors and a local woman who was also threatened via Twitter.

So far, the two anchors haven't commented on the situation but according to these court documents both wanted to press charges.
