SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. -

Family, friends and supporters of the 2-year-old little girl who drowned in a community pool in Florence last week came together Saturday to help raise money for her funeral costs.

On the night of July 23, 2-year-old Liliana Serrano was found floating near the steps of a community pool in Florence.

"I had to assess what was going on and I started CPR right away," said Jordan Cook, who helped the little girl.

On that night, Cook was there.

Once the little girl was pulled from the water, he administered CPR, a skill he learned as a former boy scout.

But once she was taken to the hospital, it was too late; she was pronounced dead.

Cook again helped the family, this time by helping organize a carwash.

"It always makes me feel good to give back to a lot of people," said Cook.

All the money raised will go towards funeral costs for the little girl.

'We're just trying to raise all the money we can so she can rest in peace," said Martin Sanchez.

Sanchez is Lili's dad. The whole family says it's nice to see support from the community during the tragedy.

"It feels good in the heart," said Sanchez.

"It makes us feel like there is hope for raising money for her funeral and we have everyone surrounding us that loves us," said Erika Mada, Lili's cousin.

All of the money raised from Saturday's carwash will go to funeral expenses for Liliana.

They're hoping to have her funeral sometime next week.
