I-10 reopens after fatal crash closure

PHOENIX -

Westbound I-10 was shut down on Sunday morning as crews investigated a fatal rollover accident.

Witnesses say a car was speeding and swerving before rear-ending a pickup truck.

The truck rolled over into the median and a 28-year-old woman was ejected.

Police say she died at the scene.

The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, but is expected to survive.

According to officers, the car's driver is a 27-year-old man from northern Arizona.

Detectives believe impairment played a part in the crash.

No name have been released.

Entrance ramps to westbound I-10 at 59th Avenue and 67th Avenue were both shut down for hours.
