HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. -

Authorities say a woman ran over her husband with her car while he was on his four-wheeler last Wednesday in Haralson County.  Michelle Jarriel, 35, now faces a murder charge.

Haralson County deputies say that Jarriel's husband, Joey, was on his four-wheeler on a dirt road when his wife chased after him with her car.

Sheriff Eddie Mixon said that Joey Jarriel was dead when authorities arrived. The Georgia State Patrol reconstructed the accident.

The victim's sister, Darlene Fernander, says her brother and Michelle were married about two years and that it was always a volatile relationship. She suspected her sister-in-law had killed her brother and says she wasn't surprised when deputies arrested Michelle Jarriel the night before the funeral.

"I just want justice for my brother. He was a good guy. I don't care who you are, you don't deserve to die that way on a lonely dirt road," said Fernander.

Mixon they were called to the house two times on the day before Joey Jarriel died. In each case, Mixon said that both husband and wife assured them everything was OK

While Jarriel is charged with murder, her attorney, Nathaniel Wheelwright, says it was all an accident.

"My understanding is that Mr. Jarriel started consuming beer, got on an ATV, went out on a dirt road in a rural area and wrecked the ATV and was ejected over the top of the ATV. It rolled and died from the injuries of that," said Wheelwright.

The sheriff said they are awaiting toxicology results on the victim.

Michelle Jarriel was denied bond on Wednesday.
