Police search for 2 suspects after armed robbery on light rail

Phoenix Police are looking for two suspects who robbed two people at gunpoint while on the light rail near Washington and 36th Streets.

On June 29 just before midnight, police say a light rail train stopped and two suspects walked off.

Police say moments later, one of the suspects walked back onto the train and forcefully grabbed a man's phone out of his hands.

A second man refused to give up his phone, so the first suspect allegedly punched him in the face.

Throughout the robbery, officers say a second suspect was pointing a gun at both of the men from the doorway of the train.

Suspect one is described as an Hispanic male, 20 to 30-years-old, 5'9", 150 lbs., with dark "buzzed" hair cut, Tattoos of an "E" on right forearm, "CHUCKS" on right arm, Cross on left shoulder.

Suspect two is described as an Hispanic male, 17 to 20-years-old, 5'6", 120 lbs., with dark "buzzed" hair cut, and spoke with Spanish accent.
