James Deen: Adult Stars Don't Crossover Because They Don't Want To

Posted: Updated:

Adult movie star James Deen says all celebrity sex tapes are fake.  Even the infamous tape that made Kim Kardashian a household name.

Here's what happens, according to Deen: "They give you money, and say go shoot an adult film.  And then they own it.  That's how they all work.  They're all fake."

Deen, who says he's appeared in more than 4,000 porn films was on Good Day LA to talk about his new movie, which is not a porno, called "The Canyons," in which he co-stars with Lindsay Lohan.

Deen was asked about Lohan by hosts Tony McEwing and Maria Sansone, but he responded by saying he's done talking about her.  He said he gave an interview to the New York Times, which was then quoted more than 100 times in other publications and on TV. Some of the stories characterized Deen as defending Lohan while others said he slammed her.

And they all used the SAME quotes.

Fun facts about James Deen:

  • According to Deen, performing in pornographic films was his ambition since he was in kindergarten.
  • Deen, who has appeared in approximately 1,400 films, has made over $20,000 per month from his performances and describes himself as "overpaid".
  • He has been invited to college and university campuses across the country to speak with students on legislation, condom use and contraception, relationships, media, and sexuality.
  • Deen has a fan-following among teenage girls, a demographic that is typically not associated with the pornographic industry. In February 2012, ABC Nightline aired the feature "Porn's Boy Next Door", which included interviews with both Deen and his fans.
