Boy, 14, wounded in South Side shooting

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A young teenage boy was wounded in a Grand Boulevard area shooting Monday afternoon on the South Side.

The 14-year-old boy was shot in the upper left leg about 1:40 p.m. during a possible drive-by in the 4700 block of South Indiana Avenue, police said.

The boy was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in "stable" condition, authorities said.

The boy is believed to have gang affiliations, authorities said.

Area Central detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody.
