Michael Jackson Wrongful Death Lawsuit: Why Did Doctors Take Advantage Of Him?

More From Phil Shuman:

Day two of the ex Mrs. Jackson on the stand in the zillion dollar civil lawsuit Michael's Mom filed against concert giant AEG. Day two of Debbie Rowe humanizing Michael, telling the jury how much pain he was in for various ailments, what a great Dad he was, how loving he was , how devastated the family was by his death four plus years ago, particular the second child she ''made '' with Michael, Paris. Rowe was called by AEG as a witness for the defense, but she might as well have been a witness for the plaintiff. Yes, she told jurors the MJ used Propofol back in the 90's, but what that had to do with who hired convicted Jacko killer Conrad Murray in 2009 was murky at best.

I asked Jackson family Brian Panish after court if he had thanked AEG for calling her. He laughed and said he thought she helped the Jackson cause much more than anything she might've done for the defense. She finished in the morning, left court through the gauntlet of the media with much more decorum than yesterdays fiasco, and was gone , in the passenger seat of her lawyers ( presumably ) grey Range Rover, back up the freeway to Palmdale, where she describes herself as a horse breeder.

I'm sure we'll be seeing her again in the next inevitable Jackson lawsuit, meantime here's hoping she is helping to take care of Paris, who attempted suicide. She never said much if anything about Prince, child #1. By the way, there were a lot of personal questions asked an answered about her relationship with MJ, how she held his hand when he got medical treatments, how he was so shy, how he loved loved loved to talk on the phone.  No one asked ( fortunately ) how the children were conceived.

 From Phil Shuman:

Debbie Rowe may be a lovely person, but she seems to be doing her best to hide that fact every time she's out in public.  She was on the witness stand in the ongoing legal drama of Michael Jackson's estate vs entertainment giant AEG. The central issue, if you've been following it, is who is responsible for hiring the convicted Jackson killer Dr. Conrad Murray.

Rowe's testimony about her ''best friend "(Michael, married 96 to 99 mother of two of his 3 kids) was fascinating for her insight into his world, but it didn't shed much light on who's responsible for bringing Dr Murray into the operation. Rowe talked about Jackson's dependence on, use, abuse of prescription med's, including Propofol (known to her by it's brand name Dirprivan) back in the 90's, how she pleaded with him to stop the pain meds (Demerol), how he knew he ''couldn't do this forever", how he ''knew he was messed up". She cried, she swore, she glared, she snarled.. and that was just before lunch. She did seem to genuinely care for MJ and denounced the doctors who were in a ''pissing contest'' over who could give him the strongest drug, and others who just looked at him as a ''cash cow ".

When she finally left court at about 4:30 she practically knocked over the crowed of camera people and reporters acting ( predictably) like morons scrambling to scream questions at her when we knew she wasn't going to say anything.  She made a big show of pointing her finger at us and saying '' Don't touch me.. don't ever touch me. " Don't worry. Debbie Rowe is one of the more interesting figures in the bizarre and curious life of Michael Jackson.   She bore him children because she felt sorry for him when he said he'd never be a  Dad during one of the many visits to the Dermatologists office where she worked. She gave up her parental rights, tried to get em back, and now apparently has a relationship with child number two, Paris, in the news of late for trying to commit suicide . She has her hands full there no doubt. She lives in Palmdale and only ventures into the big city, apparently, when she has to, which is fine with me.
