Woman claims she had 'intuition' Salinas body was in Apache Junction

Police are still looking for clues as to how 19-year-old college student, Adrienne Salinas, died after her body was found in Apache Junction and identified last week.

However, Salinas' family searched the same area weeks before her body was found.

Salinas was last seen in Tempe, but her body was found in Apache Junction, some 30 miles away. No one knows how she got there.

But, some members of her family say they searched the same area before, at the direction of an Avondale woman who simply had a "feeling."

"I can feel when they're present, when they're with me," said Alisa Fierro.

She doesn't like the word "psychic," instead Alisa Fierro is what she calls, an "intuitive."

"I'm an energy worker, a raeke master," said Fierro.

Shortly after 19-year old Adrienne Salinas disappeared from Tempe in June, Fierro says Salinas' aunt, a new client of hers, asked if she could help.

"As soon as I hung up with her, I started to receive impressions: how the dirt looked, the location. I started to see a map. I had to go right away to the Internet to look at the map of the area and it was at the base of Superstition Mountain," said Fierro.

Salinas' aunt says some family members went to the area Fierro specified and called out for the missing 19-year-old, while keeping in contact with Fierro.

"I was getting impressions, 'Please check in this area, check the restrooms, there could be something left behind,' so they did. They couldn't find anything," said Fierro.

That was about five days after Salinas disappeared.

Fast forward almost two months later and Salinas' body was found near the very area the family searched. It was about 30 miles from where Salinas disappeared, with no explanation.

"I really still don't know how it works. I've been doing this type of work for 10 years and it still amazes me," said Fierro.

Fierro says she randomly gets visions, images and feelings from Salinas.

"When I think of her, I think I see a pink light," said Fierro. "I'm just connected to her energy and to that love that surrounds her."

Fierro says she's not out to cause more pain for a family who's lost a loved one.

"I think it's just as painful right now for them whether I'm here or not to assist," said Fierro.

Fierro says she has a "gift" everyone has, but isn't necessarily tuned in to.

She knows some don't believe in it.

"I honor their belief system and I just do the healing session with them and usually something will happen. I always ask them to expect a miracle, but have no expectations when you come through the session," said Fierro.

So will we ever know what happened to Adrienne Salinas, and what happens next?

"I'm not really sure. I don't know. All I can do is listen," said Fierro.

Fierro says she reached out to a law enforcement organization in connection with the Salinas case, but did not hear back. It's something she says is understandable.

She says she's not charging the Salinas family for the information, but is simply volunteering.

When asked if other visions of hers have been accurate she said yes, but declined to talk about it out of respect for the family who she says she keeps regular contact with.
