Montco Former Law Library Director Arrested And Charged

Montgomery County, Pa. -

The Montgomery County DA's office has charged Bruce Piscadlo for mishandling funds when he was employed as the director of the Law Library of Montgomery County.

According to the DA's office, an audit showed that more than $4,830.94 in tax-payer money was used by the defendant, Piscadlo, to purchase items for himself and his staff. More than 50 suspected items were purchased from Staples using library funds, items that included computers, laptops, printers, touchscreen pads and other electronic equipment.

According to the DA, Piscadlo is also suspected of conspiring with Barbara Melnyk to buy $2,598.37 worth of textbooks from Amazon for a family member.

A preliminary hearing will take place on August 30, 2013. Piscadlo is in jail on $20,000 bail. He is officially charged by the DA with theft by unlawful taking, theft by failure to make required disposition of funds and related charges.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

    The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

    Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

    It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.

    The Coast Guard have suspended an emergency search for a man who went overboard in a boat after he went missing. New Jersey State Police have identified him as 49-year old John J. Poltonowicz.
