Drug Offender Leaves Corrections Center Without Permission

DOVER, Del. -

An offender serving a sentence at Morris Community Corrections Center (MCCC) in Dover has left the facility grounds without permission, says the Delaware Department of Correction.

Authorities say that Rodney Miller was observed leaving the facility at around 5 p.m. on Monday, August 19. He has not been seen since.

Miller is a black male, about 5'8'', weighs 150 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.

MCCC is a Level 4 facility that manages offenders who are transitioning back to the community, according to the Department of Correction. These centers are not secured because offenders are permitted to leave to go to work, seek jobs, or attend approved treatment sessions. Miller was serving a six-month sentence for drug dealing.

Anyone with information on Miller is asked to call (800) 542-9524 or their local police department.
