LANSING, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two bank employees were injured when three men robbed a bank in south suburban Lansing Thursday afternoon.

The men entered the U.S. Bank branch at 17150 S. Torrence Ave. in Lansing about 1 p.m. and announced a robbery, FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde said.

At least one of the three men had a handgun and went to the teller counter to confront the bank's employees, Hyde said. There were no reports of shots fired.

Two bank employees were injured during the robbery, Hyde said. Information on their conditions was not immediately available.

The robbers, all about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, all wore hooded sweatshirts and covered their lower faces with bandanas or scarves, Hyde said.
