GILA BEND, Ariz. -

A dead body was found in the desert off Interstate 9 in Gila Bend Sunday. The body was less than a mile away from where several bodies were found last week.

The area is known for human trafficking. The man did not have any identification, and appears to have died from the elements.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio says his deputies will place a cross in the desert to mark the place where he was found, and to serve as a deterrent for border-crossers.
