CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

CVS says it's taken a long look at feedback from its customers -- so it's shortening its receipts.

The CVS "extra care" receipts are notoriously long. People have posted pictures of receipts several feet long online and some of the receipts are taller than the people themselves.

CVS says it will trim the reward portions of its receipts, but still offer the coupons and discounts. The company says the new -- shorter -- receipts will be more convenient and better for the environment.

One such receipt was posted by Todd Visioli, a FOX producer in New York. After shopping for school supplies with his daughter, they received one that was particularly long.

So long, in fact, that it's as tall as his daughter! She's 4 ft. tall, by the way.
