2 wanted in Tempe carjacking, armed robbery

TEMPE, Ariz. -

Silent Witness is asking for the public's help in locating two men who threatened two women with a gun and stole their vehicle.

About 2:45 a.m. on August 21, the victims were approached by two males while sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot of 1655 E. Southern Ave.

The first suspect pointed at gun at the 25-year-old driver and asked for keys to the vehicle -- while the second suspect approached the vehicle from the passenger side.

The first suspect shot the female driver, and both suspects fled the scene in the victim's white Chevy Impala. She survived.

The first suspect is described as a black male, early 20s, 5'7" to 6' tall, short black hair, dark complexion, wearing a red bandana over his face and armed with small dark revolver.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, early 20s to late 30s, 5'7", 160 lbs., short dark brown hair, clean shaven with a "round" face.

A reward of $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the suspects in this crime.
