On-the-spot job interviews for veterans

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

The Canton Community Foundation holds its 4th Annual Veterans' Summit at Laurel Manor in Livonia on Thursday, September 12.

The event is free to veterans from all military branches, as well as their friends and family members. The interviews will go from 8:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with a free lunch provided.

You must register to take part in this event.

You can register at the event beginning at 8:00 a.m., or online here.

Veteran Affairs experts will educate attendees of their entitled benefits in such areas as health care, pension, disabilities, burial and VA eligibility.

Home Depot representatives will be available to meet with veterans interested in employment opportunities. If you are interested, complete a short application prior to the summit. That application can be found at homedepot.com.
