CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Emergency crews were called back to the scene of a Southwest Side fire Thursday morning after the smoldering rubble of a warehouse reignited.

Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight reported about that crews had been re-dispatched to the scene of the four-alarm warehouse fire in the 3700 block of South California Avenue about 5:15 a.m.

The "major" fire in the warehouse, which was apparently full of wooden pallets, was reported extinguished about 1:20 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

The fire, sparked about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, fully engulfed the 60-by-100 foot building overnight and drew about 400 first responders to the scene, the fire department said.

A third alarm was called as the entire building, including the dock area, became engulfed in the blaze, according to the fire department. Soon after, the fire became a four-alarm.

There were no reported injuries, fire department officials said.
