PHOENIX -

Silent Witness is offering a $1,000 reward to help find a suspect accused of stealing a woman's purse out of her vehicle's front seat.

The victim stopped the suspect in her tracks by biting her on the wrist!

This happened on August 27 at a Chevron gas station at 10:45 p.m.  The victim drove into the parking lot near Northern and 16th Street and was approached by the suspect.

According to police, the suspect asked the victim for a ride, money and food, then reached into the car and grabbed the victim's purse.  The victim grabbed the purse and a struggle ensued. Authorities say that's when the victim bit the suspect's left wrist, which forced her to release her grasp on the purse.

The victim recovered her purse and the suspect was last seen walking southbound on 16th Street from the parking lot.

Take a look at the surveillance video which shows the suspect prior to the crime.

Police describe the suspect is a white female, 50 to 55-years-old, 150 pounds, 5' 5" to 5' 6" tall with blonde hair.  She was wearing a dark shirt.
