Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Scarlett Johansson: It's A Comedy Of Errors

Posted: Updated:

There are worse things in life than having Scarlett Johansson play your love interest in a movie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt tells People magazine.

The newly engaged actress stars alongside Gordon-Levitt, 32, in his self-directed and self-written film, Don Jon.

"I didn't know Scarlett, but I spent more than a year with the image of her in my head playing this character; she couldn't not do this."

Asked about Joseph's behavior on set during this, his directorial debut, Scarlett joked to Steve Edwards and Maria Sansone on Good Day L.A., "He ruled with an iron fist."

"No,' she continued. "He was very collaborative, and it was really his enthusiasm for this story and his visual vocabulary that excited me about collaborating to begin with."

‘Don Jon' opens two weeks from today, on Friday, September 27th.
