SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - A 52-year-old Bisbee woman arrested in the death of her husband at their home has been released after prosecutors didn't immediately file a criminal complaint charging her.

Cristi Sue Luna was arrested Sept. 11 in the death of 70-year-old Daniel Patrick McNary in which police described as a possible domestic violence situation.

Luna had called 911 late the night of Sept. 10 to report that her husband had a cord around his neck and wasn't breathing.

The Sierra Vista Herald reports that Luna was booked into the Cochise County jail on suspicion of second-degree murder but that she was released Friday.

Without discussing specifics of Luna's case, Chief Criminal Deputy County Attorney said prosecutors sometimes additional investigation before a formal charge is filed.
