Forget about achieving the top score on those nostalgic arcade games. One man in Orange County figured out how to turn his love for the Claw Machine into a pretty good investment.
Since 1997, Stan Bent of Mission Viejo spends 2-3 days a week grabbing a collected amount of 6,000 - 7,000 stuffed animals out of vending machines all over Orange County. He loves the game for the challenge, which makes sense when you discover he's a computer specialist and research analyst.
The great story behind this is that instead of keeping all of his winnings, he usually gives them away to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, a megachurch located between the cities of Costa Mesa and Santa Ana.
In the video above, you can see Bent in action as he describes the best way to get a winner on the machine:
Look for the one key prize that has locked the others into place, and jostle it
Drop the claw in front of the prize, then push it backwards
As you squeeze the claw, try dragging the prize toward the opening at the same time
