Producer

Create, develop and produce daily rundowns for a one hour newscast.  Assign news stories to news writers.  Edit news stories turned in by writers and reporters. Coordinate production activities and deadlines with Managing Editor and newscast director.  Work closely with Managing Editor, Executive Producer and Director.  Coordinate with Executive Producer social media with newscast reporters.  Maintain flexibility during newscast for coverage of breaking news while show is being broadcast.  Monitor the running time of the show as the correct off time of the newscast.  Write stories for Fox 11 newscast.  Produce segments for the FOX11 newscasts.  Excellent writer with a sense of stories that intrigue and interest viewers. Solid news judgment.  Good organizational skills.  Ability to work well under pressure.  Excellent people skills.  Outstanding communication skills.  Knowledge of newsroom computer system, INEWS with Media Manager & interplay.  Knowledge of AXIS assembly in overall producing of the TV screen.  3-5 years of news experience as a line producer for a cable, local television or network newscast.  College graduate a must.
