Police: Naked man arrested after allegedly assaulting deputies

Posted: Updated:
HALL COUNTY, Ga. -

Authorities have charged a man with assaulting deputies after a bizarre incident in Hall County on Wednesday.

Officers said they found Kelly Martinez Nicely naked and acting strangely near Bill's Circle.

Deputies used pepper spray, batons and a Taser after Nicely allegedly attacked them.

A SWAT team eventually shot him with rubber pellets to take him into custody.

Two deputies were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Update: The suspect in this case was originally identified as Keary Maurice Nicely, the twin brother of the suspect.  The Hall County Sheriff's Office has since corrected the information and the photo, and they apologize for the erroneous identification.
